UPDATE ON THE FOLLOWING ORIGINAL STORY WITH THIS
HEADLINE FROM MSN NEWS:
“Several North
Korean soldiers are reported to have already deserted the front lines, just as
Kim Jong-un sent his first contingent of troops to Russia.”
North Korean forces have been deployed to the Russian
regions of Kursk and Bryansk, where Ukrainian troops made significant advances
several months ago, catching the Kremlin by surprise.
According to the Ukrainian
TV channel “Suspilne,” citing intelligence sources, the Russian military is
now hunting down the North Korean deserters.
South Korea’s National
Intelligence Service (NIS) reported that 1,500 North Korean soldiers were sent
to Russia via the port of Vladivostok, before being assigned to various
regiments already fighting on the Ukrainian front, saying in part: “The North Korean soldiers … are expected to
be deployed to the frontlines as soon as they complete their adaptation
training. It appears that they
disguised themselves as Russian soldiers to hide the fact that they were
deployed to the battlefield.”

Startling news report from RBC-UKRAINE with this headline:
“U.S. reacts to possible
involvement of North Korean soldiers in war against Ukraine”
White House National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett said:
“The U.S is concerned about reports of
North Korean soldiers being sent to Russia to participate in the war against
Ukraine. However, such a move also indicates Moscow's desperation. If the
reports of North Korean troops directly participating in the war against
Ukraine are confirmed, it would indicate a significant expansion of defense
relations between North Korea and Russia.
Such a move would also indicate a new level of desperation for Russia
as it continues to suffer significant casualties on the battlefield in its
brutal war against Ukraine.”
North Korea could
have sent soldiers
On October 13,
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the alliance between Russia and North
Korea is strengthening, adding: “Now,
the issue is not only about arms transfers but also about the transfer of
people from North Korea to the occupier's military forces.”
Then on October 14, President
Zelensky; his Defense Intelligence; the Ministry of Defense; and his the
Foreign Intelligence Service reported to him saying: “Among other things, the issue of the actual involvement of North Korea
in the war was raised.”
Military expert Oleksii Hetman said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine YouTube
that: “North Korea could send between
10,000 and 100,000 soldiers to fight in Ukraine.”
Also, on October 5, RBC-Ukraine sources reported that during
an attack by Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk area, North Korean officers
were eliminated alongside the occupiers. The
news agency also clarified that the North Korean soldiers had arrived there
for “experience exchange, and not to
participate in the war.”
My 2 Cents: This is very big and very serious news – the original article and this update.
Related is this from GOP Speaker MAGA Mike Johnson, who is no fan of helping Ukraine.
Putin has manpower and military equipment shortages, while Kim Jong-un has a food, fuel, and money shortages … ergo: That part of this deal I suspect is beneficial to both of them.
Whatever the reason, it’s a very dangerous and concerning event. What happens now remains to be seen.
That is especially true if Trump were to win reelection since he is pals with both Putin and Kim and he has said he could end the war in one day … which is doubtful.
We shall see about that point, so stay tuned.
Thanks for stopping
