Absolute
Basis for Article I of Impeachment
(Dozens
of Examples to Present)
By way of background (as if we needed more historical proof).
This follows Mueller’s 9-minute remarks, wherein Trump had this to say about
impeachment that is growing among many Democrats:
“It's a dirty word. They're
possibly allowed, although I can't
imagine the courts allowing it. I've never gone into it. I never thought
that would even be possible to be using that word. To me, it's a dirty word —
the word impeach. It's a dirty, filthy, disgusting word.”
FYI for Trump: The courts could not prevent
impeachment that is a matter handled solely by Congress. The House holds the
power to impeach the president, and the Senate determines whether or not to
convict.
Yep, it is but it’s the only way to remove a lying,
corrupt, law-breaking dangerous president from office. So, says the
Constitution – the book you swore “to preserve, protect, and defend.”
Yeah, the set or rules and law of the land.
From Mueller's report, which Trump
discards is in this lengthy Fact Check
article, and here related from Newsweek. Below are key parts below about Trump saying that Mueller totally cleared him:
On Collusion: In his
remarks at the DOJ Mueller spoke for the first time about his two-year
investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential
election.
Mueller reiterated that Russia
had engaged in “multiple, systematic efforts to damage
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.”
Mueller than added: “There
was insufficient evidence to charge a broader conspiracy between the
Russia government and any individuals associated with the Trump campaign.”
Mueller concluded
saying: “The central allegation against the Russians deserves the attention of every American.”
On the issue of obstruction of justice: Mueller’s report, which
was released in redacted form on April 18 found: “... multiple acts by the President that were capable of exerting
undue influence over law enforcement investigations, including the
Russian-interference and obstruction investigations.”
Key aspect that Mueller had to follow and rightly so: He said he could not make a “traditional prosecutorial judgment,” because the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) has a
longstanding opinion that states an “indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would be
unconstitutional.”
Mueller concluded: “Because we determined not to make a
traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about
the President’s conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President’s actions
and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional
prosecutorial judgment. At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that
the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state.”
My 2 cents: Bingo on that part, DEMS – got it now,
okay, then act on that ASAP.
Then let the McConnell GOP show the people that they
probably will not remove Trump out of fear of his wrath and blind loyalty to
him not the public.
“We the People” will then know better that the onus for failure to
remove falls on the GOP-led Senate. Then we will remove them from office via
the ballot box for sure.
So, do your sworn duty DEMS, impeach Trump and honor your oath of office to the people, but most important to serve justice not to any blind loyalty to Trump like the
Republicans show.
Thanks for stopping by.
