Trump's Words and Actions: Are a "Clear and Present Danger” Like SCOTUS Declared in 1919

Excellent background leading to Election 2024
(Video is provided in story below)

No one likes Hitler comparisons, but consider this

The new book: “Tired of Winning” gives insight into Trump’s 2024 campaign which is one of “Revenge” or more apt, like the Civil War quote of “Calm Retribution” that was the code word used in a plot to assassinate President Lincoln.

A video explaining that book from author, Jonathan Karl, ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent, is most enlightening:

Also, related from RAWSTORY because words matter.

Finally, this also for serious consideration:

Trump posted the following message to American veterans on Veterans Day, November 11, 2023.

In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within. Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

That message struck some as familiar for many people, e.g., Meidas Touch reported that Trump “echoes Hitler nearly verbatim” in his calls to destroy the “vermin, or liberals.”

Tristan Snell, a former assistant NYS AG added his take, as well of the two quotes:This vermin must be destroyed. The Jews are our sworn enemies, and at the end of this year there will not be a Jew left in Germany.” — Hitler, 1939

My 2 Cents: Simply stated is that we must – the entire nation – must take serious heed and have serious concern about Trump and his recent harsh words in many speeches about his plans for 2025 if he were to return to the White House.

His MAGA base believes him like other radicals groups and individuals believed people like him in the past in Waco, Jonestown, and of mass shooting nationally in between and ever since.

We must believe him and his words, but we must NOT trust him for any goodness – it’s not in his DNA. He must be taken very seriously for one reason as the famous judicial line quote says: “He is a Clear and Present Danger.” That is not hyperbole – that’s what his words say.

History of that quote comes from the famous high court freedom of speech case of: Schenck v. United States

Articulating for the first time the “Clear and Present danger test” Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes (a Republican BTW) concluded that the First Amendment does not protect speech that approaches creating a “clear and present danger of a significant evil that Congress has power to prevent.” Justice Holmes reasoned that the widespread dissemination of the anti-WWI leaflets was sufficiently likely to disrupt the conscription process, and he famously compared the leaflets to falsely shouting “Fire! In a crowded theatre,” which is not permitted under the First Amendment.

Trump has been shouting words worse than “Fire” in a crowded theatre since he lost the 2020 election.

He has now laid out his plan to burn down our democratic nation, including in his own words that would enable him to “rewrite the constitution” – in his own words, and now is his “Project 2025” plan that he utters practically in every speech.

All of us must pay close attention to his words since they have serious consequences just like they did on January 6.

Thanks for stopping by.
