Biggest Hypocrite Award: Many in the "New" GOP House But Rep. Boebert (R-CO) Wins This One

Wow, Did I really say and do all that
(Yes, you did and plenty more, too)

Get rid of school sex education classes says Rep. Boebert (R-CO) and who also grabs this hypocritical headline from The Guardian on that same subject:

“Rep. Lauren Boebert is set to become a GRANDMOTHER at 36: Colorado Republican praises teen moms as she reveals her 17-year-old son's girlfriend is pregnant”

·         Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, age 36, shared this week that her 17-year-old son will make her a grandmother next month.

·         At an event for the “conservative group Moms for America” she shared that her son Tyler and his girlfriend were expecting a son.

·         Boebert, a teen mom herself, applauded conservative rural areas for having lower abortion rates because “they understand the preciousness of a life”

The full story (formatted to fit the blog):

Boebert divulged this week that her 17-year-old son will make her a grandmother next month. Boebert was caught on video by Patriot Takes speaking at an event hosted by the conservative group Moms for America when she shared the news that son Tyler and his girlfriend (said to be older than 14) are expecting a son.

Boebert said:So I'm going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting, that not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April I will be a gigi to a brand new grandson. And Jason and I are so excited to welcome this new life into our family.”

Boebert herself was a teen mom and dropped out of high school during her senior year in 2004 when she got pregnant with Tyler, her oldest.

She completed her GED before she was elected to Congress in 2020.

She had three more sons, including the 2009 birth of Kaydon, which occurred in the front seat of her husband's pickup truck that made local news.

Boebert told the crowd that there's 'something special about rural conservative communities' - because fewer pregnant teens abort their fetuses compared to those living in cities, studies show.

Boebert who is anti-abortion said to the group:Teen mom rates are higher in rural conservative areas, because they understand the preciousness of a life that it's about to be born.”

A 2019 study from American Journal of Public Health suggested that teen birth rates are higher in rural areas because of “local conditions that limit unintended pregnancy management options.”

Since the Supreme Court's June Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade a number of red state legislatures have passed increasingly restrictive abortion laws. However, Boebert's home state of Colorado remains one of just six states where abortion is still legal at all stages of pregnancy.

Additionally, CDC data indicates that teen mothers are far less likely to finish their high school educations than those who don't bear children.

Only about 50% of teen mothers receive their high school diplomas by age 22, versus 90% of women who don't give birth during their teen years.

Boebert went on to joke about being a young mother in her speech to Moms for America saying in part:Now, any of you who have young children who are giving life there's some questions that pop up. There's some fear that arises. My son when I approached him and told him: Tyler, I'm going to be a 36-year-old grandmother, and he said: Well didn't you make my granny a 36-year-old granny. I said, Yes, I did, and he said: Well then, its hereditary Nice try, buddy, I told him.”

Boebert is anti-abortion and rejects teaching of sexual education in schools.

During her speech at a recent CPAC conference she warned that some schools are teaching worse than just gender ideology, saying in part: They have comprehensive sex EdThey're teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex, and even same-sex sex, and how to pleasure themselves. This is not something elementary students should learn, not any student in public school. These are the things that we need to go after and cut their funding.”

Typical GOP response to an important issue: Don't like it, don't or can't change it, so just cut the spending for the overall program.

Now the proverbial icing in the cake has to be this six delicious minutes, Mrs. Betty Bowers (“America's Best Christian) recounts a small fraction of the countless things Boebert has done to win the “Biggest Hypocrite in Congress Award” here on YouTube:

My 2 Cents: Well then Ms. Boebert, based on your personal pregnancy history and now copycat teen son’s history, we must wonder how his girlfriend’s parents and certainly you failed in talking about sex at that young age with them.

BTW: I wonder how your son’s girlfriend’s parents feel about this.

Being anti-abortion is Boebert’s right, and speaking out about sex education in H/S is also her right, but being a hypocrite like this is pretty low.

That is based on her remarks and about her 17-year old son and his girlfriend (at least 14 years old she said makes us wonder why he mention that age?) shows perfectly the uneducated dumbass she really is about the school and sex education.

Enjoy your award – you sure earned it… congrats.

Thanks for stopping by.
