Tucker Carlson
strikes again: Carlson painted Rep. George Santos (R-NY) as a “hapless victim” of
the bigoted news media by pretending that the only thing Santos lied about was
his volleyball career.
Facts: Carlson
doesn't really have arguments or evidence, but he does do a bang-up impression
of someone sarcastically brushing aside nonsense. Except what he's brushing
away is usually pretty serious stuff, such as fascist attacks on democracy,
attempts to save lives during a pandemic, or, in this case, unbelievable
amounts of fraud that look potentially criminal in many cases.
Carlson is truly ignoring Santos lies and it’s truly
staggering. Santos lied about his resume, his religion, his marriage, his family history, and claimed connections he doesn't have to the Holocaust, 9/11, the Pulse nightclub shooting, and an assassination attempt that appears fictional.
It is really no exaggeration to say it's easier to list the
things he hasn't lied about like his age and his birthplace in Queens.
MAGA Hero: Carlson didn't reach the conclusion that Santos is the latest
MAGA idol on his own.
Steve Bannon was championing the Santos, the pathological liar,
along with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who
rallied to Santos claiming he's only a target because “he's a fighter.”
And, this from SALON.com on the insane pathological stunning serial liar Rep. George
Santos (R-NY) with this headline. Wake up call for the GOP:
“George Santos admits he
lied to be ‘accepted by Republicans’ and I got away with it before”
Santos interview with Piers Morgan acknowledged that he made up key
parts of his life ahead of his 2022 election win.
Morgan said to Santos:
“I was a Wall Street superstar, I was this, my family were this, and it was all
untrue. I don't characterize these as mistakes. They are part of your process
of, cathartic process of redemption if you'd like. You gotta say: I've been a
terrible liar – would you be prepared to say that?”
Santos replied: “Well,
I've been a terrible liar on those subjects” but not my intention to deceive
people but simply to be accepted by the local Republican Party GOP.”
Santos then added:
“What I tried to convey to the American people is I made mistakes of allowing
the pressures of what I thought needed to be done in order to — this, this
wasn't about tricking anybody … this was about getting accepted by the party
here locally.”
Morgan rejected that explanation
rebutting: “The whole thing was about tricking people.”
My 2 cents: Hey, GOP House majority – expel this bum and try and save what little dignity you may have left.
That’s all… get him out of our government:
Thanks for stopping by.
