How can any Republican vote GOP after reading this post?
This
is a very serious topic especially for anyone now drawing Social Security
and Medicare and still working as they look forward to retirement.
“House Republicans threaten
debt ceiling fight for spending cuts”
If Republicans take control of the House of
Representatives in next month’s midterm elections, they will refuse to raise
the debt ceiling unless Democrats agree to spending cuts to domestic programs,
possibly including Social Security and Medicare.
That according to “Speaker Wannabe” GOP House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said in a “Punchbowl News” interview published today (October 18) that he would use and need to raise the debt ceiling at some point in 2023 to negotiate policy changes with the White House.
McCarthy said in part of
future discussions: “We should seriously sit together and [figure out] where
can we eliminate some waste.”
Asked if cuts might
include Medicare and Social Security, McCarthy didn’t
rule them it saying he wouldn't “predetermine anything.
Looks like part of the GOP's fav stunt with their “trickle down theory” stunt as McCarthy calls your
hard earned retirement money “waste to be eliminated.”
Another budget story from McCarthy — one that surely favors Putin.
My 2 Cents: Seniors with Social Security and Medicare today and who always vote GOP I ask: “How does that make you feel about your party now with those two proposed possible cuts or total elimination to save money for higher bracket tax cuts probably?”
This a typical GOP vote stunt with plenty of hype to gain political control.
So, stay tuned and remember all that on November 8 when you go vote.
Thanks for stopping
by.
