Interesting and compelling story here from Business Insider with this headline:
“George Conway said
Trump is threatening to incite violence if he gets indicted: “It's just like
January 6 all over again.”
· George Conway accused Trump of threatening to
incite violence again.
· Conway said he's acting like he's “being
persecuted for no valid reason in relation to Mar-a-Lago.”
· Conway on CNN: “He is absolutely encouraging
people to engage in violence.”
Conway, when asked by CNN
in an interview on Friday, September 16 interview if
he would characterize Trump's response as a “threat,” he said that he would,
adding: “Yes, absolutely. I mean he's basically saying, what a nice country you
have here, too bad if something would happen to it.”
In August, the FBI executed a Federal search warrant
at president's
Mar-a-Lago residence in Fl. They numerous boxes containing classified
records that Trump took with him from the White House when he left office and
that is according to the court records made public about the warrant.
Also according to the court filing, the search unearthed
more than two dozen boxes containing some “11,000 documents and 1,800 other
items from the office and storage room and many were marked “TOP SECRET/SCI”
which is the highest level for classification which means they must always be
stored in a secure vault type facility called a SCIF (“SKIFF”).
Some of those materials include private and potentially
sensitive documents like medical, tax, and accounting records, the court record
shows and which should be and will be returned to Trump.
Trump denied any assertion of wrongdoing, saying that he had
declassified
the documents (Note: There is zero proof that in fact he did that).
Trump also said: “Everyone
ends up having to bring home their work from time to time.”
Impact and more recently,
Trump said in a podcast: “There would be big problems in the country related to
the Mar-a-Lago document hoax if he were indicted.”
Conway compared those
Trump remarks to the January 6 Capitol riot, which resulted in five deaths and over
140 police officers injured. Over a year later, at least 910 people have been
charged by federal prosecutors, and saying on CNN and he concluded: “It's
basically January 6 all over again. He's denying inciting violence but the fact
of the matter is he is inciting violence because ... he's convinced millions of
people that he is being persecuted for no valid reason, when in fact, he knows
and he's terrified about the fact that he's been caught red-handed stealing
government documents of the highest, highest security nature. By perpetrating
that lie to the American people, he is absolutely encouraging people to engage
in violence. There's just no question about it.”
My 2 cents: Good rational argument from George Conway and I agree
with him. Also as show in my previous posts on this same general topic here (next post below), here,
here, and here (with several items therein) we
as a nation should be very concerned about Trump getting back in the W/H for a
second and final term.
If he were reelected he
would be unrestrained and would go hog-wild and there is no telling what he
would do and the lifetime damage he could inflict. Of course that must never
happen but with GOP-run states lining up to change election laws (which Trump
wants and supports) to ensure that they never lose again, who knows, but in
short bye-bye America and “Welcome to TUSA” (Trump USA).
Bannon’s other advice to Trump in March 2017 this headline: “Keep a shït list of
Republicans Who Oppose You.”
Trump’s words and more so, his actions are not hyperbole – not one bit.
At least for anyone who listens
to what he has said and done and who believes that he believes what he says.
That is the damn scary part.
I believe Trump believes he
should own America and he wants to prove it. We must never allow that to
happen.
Thanks for stopping by.
