“Trump
Supporters Descend on Washington, DC for Events Contesting Biden's Victory”
Thousands of Trump's supporters were out in Washington, D.C.,
on Saturday (November 14) for a day of rallying to echo the false assertion
that the presidential election was marked by fraud.
One week after Joe Biden's presidential victory brought
about spontaneous celebrations in the nation's capital, a crowd that included
the group “Women for America First,” right-wing activists, and conspiracy
theorist groups gathered in downtown D.C. near the White House for a rally and
a march to insist that Trump rightfully won a second term.
By late morning, hundreds had assembled in Freedom Plaza
near the White House. The events are going by several
names: the “Million MAGA March, March for Trump, and Stop the Steal D.C.”
Note: Members of the Proud Boys, a white-nationalist
movement designated as a domestic hate group by the Southern
Poverty Law Center, were also seen out on the streets. Several on-line
posts have screen shots of the groups as well as short video clips showing
attendees waving American and
Trump 2020 flags and shouting, including the Proud Boys with obscenities. As
noted, few were seen wearing masks even as the U.S. on Friday announced a new
daily record of 184,000
confirmed coronavirus cases.
Note this Trump tweet: “Heartwarming to see all of the tremendous support out there, especially the organic Rallies that are springing up all over the Country, including a big one on Saturday in D.C. I may even try to stop by and say hello. This Election was Rigged, from Dominion all the way up & down!”

What a national disgrace this
horrible situation we face and one likely to get worse before noon on
Wednesday, January 20, 2021, when Joe Biden is sworn into office – this mess which
Donald J. Trump has dumped on America.
