Trump-GOP Scam or Con of the Century: The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Hoodwink

Great – my jet maintenance bill was killing me

GOP Footnote: “Finally! My jet maintenance bill was killing my household budget. Thank Donald and GOP. My 2020 check is in the mail.”
/s/ Mr. and Mrs. Top Crust GOPers

FYI: That 2017 tax law passed w/o a single DEM vote – much like the ACA (Obama-care) which passed w/only DEM votes and no GOP support, and ever since the GOP has poo-pooed it and Obama. Now this charade…

Payback’s a bioch on this historical con, isn’t it?

History: On Friday, December 22, 2017, President Trump signed a massive tax bill. Formerly known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – so-named because it cuts individual, corporate and estate tax rates, and the lower corporate tax rates are said to be a precursor to job creation – the bill went into history as: “An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to titles II and V of the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2018.

The final bill is more than 500 pages – and the title gives you just a whiff of how the text reads.

Even tax and public policy experts probably need mega-doses of caffeine to slog through it. The ultimate effect on Americans and the economy remains to be seen. But some effects are clear already, and most are not petty.

Do the research – it’s extensive. Sample from the Washington Post.

Thanks for stopping by.
