Putin's one single aim/method: Trump doesn’t comprehend
Self-evident by any logical rational person: Minus the GOP
When and why did Putin and the Russians
decide that Trump winning the presidency was in their best interest (US
NEWS & WORLD REPORT)? What does Putin want to achieve worldwide? How is
Trump enabling and helping Putin and himself achieve world fame and fortune?
That
attention and PR reality show is what Trump always aims for – it’s his goal and
main his desire probably 24/7 and probably 100%.
The Trump
family and team does seem to have an unusual coziness with Russia, Russian
business interests, and Russian government representatives.
Relationships and
conversations that would give other operatives pause seem to be commonplace in
Trump world.
Ever since
Election Day, there has been a daily drip, drip, drip of news regarding Trump
associates holding meetings with known Russian operatives. No one really knows
the purpose or meaning of these contacts, and the answers to inquiries have
been contradictory, conflicting and confusing.
Theories on the “why” part of the
question: Why Trump must win?
1. Perhaps there exists a Trump/Russia
relationship that isn't fully understood by the American public, and that Putin
simply wants a friend in the White House.
2. Some subscribe to the idea that this has
little to do with Trump and more to do with Putin's disdain for Hillary Clinton.
In 2011, Putin strongly condemned her comments calling Russia's parliamentary
elections unfair. (At the time Putin said: We need to safeguard ourselves from
this interference in our internal affairs.”) – How ironic is that?
3. Did Putin and the Russian government
interfere in American elections on behalf of Trump simply to take revenge on
Clinton and her hardline approach to the Putin administration?
4. Another theory is the chaos theory. Chaos
surrounds Trump the businessman and then candidate Trump, and, still so today
as President Trump. Chaos, in the country that has been the leader of the free
world for the last century, is good news for a country that wants the world to
be a little less free.
5. Perhaps we have in Russia and Putin a country
and a leader that would love the idea of the United States losing a bit of the
moral high ground in world affairs.
So, did Putin interfere in American elections in order
to throw America into chaos, turmoil, and disruption (or in Russian: Нарушение суматохи хаоса)?
(My note: No
one knows the precise answers to this question, but grand
theories abound on
very solid evidence which we learn about almost daily).
But one thing is clear: In 2016, Putin and the Russian
government sought to play a role in the American election process, and it was
their desire that Donald J. Trump would prevail.
As we search
for answers to if, when and how the Russians interfered, and whether or not the
Trump campaign colluded with them, it may be that there is something being
missed by the Republican Party.
For the party that led the effort to dismantle
the Soviet Union, tear down the Berlin Wall, and just five years ago believed
that Russia was our number one geopolitical foe, perhaps the most important question remains
is “why?”
My 2
cents:
After refreshing myself
on this and everything we now know and have seen developing between Trump and
Putin before, during, and now even after the 2016 election, I am more
convinced, pending Muller’s final report that Trump indeed did “collude” with
Putin and Russia.
Related to the Russian tactics in 2016 and now ongoing
in the upcoming 2018 midterms.
I agree with some parts of this
article but strongly disagree with other parts – to wit: Covert (illegal, undercover, in the shadows
activities) vs. Overt (open, legal, and well-known) but how about spinning
covert (illegal stuff) to make to look like, or appear as, or seem like it is
overt (legal actions)? Makes a good movie plot doesn’t and believe me Russians
are experts at – it’s called disinformation (in Russian: дезинформация) –
Def: “Known false information spread
deliberately to deceive as factual to mislead about the truth of anything or
anyone or any event.”
Many people think “disinformation” is a literal
translation of the Russian “Dezinformatsiya” (seen above) which means “misinformation” – but that was generated
by the former KGB (now called the FSB) that was used back in 1950’s when they
named a new department that was created for the sole purpose of spreading propaganda
around the globe and boy, have they mastered it.
There is no doubt in my mind that “… if not the legal term
for collusion (there is none), then certainly massive coordination, extensive cooperation,
and many contacts between the 2016 Trump camp and Russian operatives are self-evident.
We shall see how Mueller reports all that.
Thanks for stopping by.
