Art of the Con: "Don Art of the Con Trump" Still Strong Appeal to MAGA & GOP Bases Why is That

Donald J. RamboTrump according to recent Tweet

Former LinC (Liar-in-Chief) and his loyal MAGA base and others love him – the question is why as seen in this NEWSWEEK article with this headline:

“Trump's Military Record Set Straight With Note From Twitter”

A Recent Tweet: Brigitte Gabriel, a Trump supporter and the founder of the anti-Muslim group (ACT for America), posted the above AI-generated image of Trump in green camouflage full combat gear while holding an assault weapon (May 1) with the tweet caption: “President Trump is defending America in ways Biden will never comprehend.”

While Gabriel may not have been suggesting the image of Trump in army attire was genuine, the post was still flagged by Twitter's Community Notes service, which aims: “To collaboratively add context to potentially misleading Tweets” by including additional information a user's tweet(s).

Additional Info: The above image of “Rambo Don” in full combat gear is “AI-generated” and posted on Twitter.

It is an insult to every man or woman who ever served in uniform, and especially those who served during war and in combat.

The claim was explained and exposded in a 2018 The New York Times article that stated that a doctor diagnosed Trump with bone spurs in his heels in 1968 as a “favor to the former president's father, Fred Trump, so he would not be called up to serve in the conflict.”

Fact-Check:

That part of the post was temporarily removed and re-added later based on Twitter's guideline that states that a Community Note will not be labeled, removed, or addressed by Twitter unless it is found to be violating its rules, terms of service, or our privacy policy or flagged by a fellow Twitter user.

Part of Trump's “podiatry claim” was removed from the note initially. Twitter has been contacted for comment via email.

The 2018 NYT article also features allegations from two daughters of the NY podiatrist, Larry Braunstein, who died in 2007.

The daughters claim that their father diagnosed Trump with bone spurs as a favor to Fred Trump, from whom Braunstein rented a ground floor office in a New York City building.

One daughter, Elysa Braunstein, told the Times:I know it was a favor. What he got was access to Fred Trump. If there was anything wrong in the building, my dad would call and Trump would take care of it immediately. That was the small favor that he got. It was family lore. It was something we would always discuss.”

Trump received four deferments from being drafted into Vietnam while he was a college student and a fifth after getting a bone spurs diagnosis in 1968 once he graduated.

In a 2016 interview, Trump told The Times that a doctor wrote him a letter for the draft board about his bone spurs — which he described as “temporary and minor” — but that he could not recall the doctor's name.

My 2 Cents: Recent tweet of an old story… worth remembering again, isn’t it? And, what a crock.

Trump is a sad, sad, human being and so is anyone who sticks with him. That alone defies imagination.

I guess and we can logically assume that the power of this con artist still works, right?

Thanks for stopping by.
