Trump at CPAC Convention: Levels Hate and Discontent With Retribution Front and Center

Trump's Principle: Trump first then maybe country

His goal before, during, and after 2024

From AOL news startling speech from Trump at the CPAC gathering in Maryland.

He in true form stirred up crap and hype and frenzy like he did on January 6 and then he pleads innocent while blaming everyone in sight except himself.

The headline is:

“Low-key reception for Trump at conservative summit”

OXON HILL, MD — Trump regaled his faithful on Saturday evening in suburban Washington with promises of “retribution against their mutual enemies.” However, his reception was relatively subdued compared with his past raucous speeches at same event.

For example, in 2016, he declared:I am your voice” he shouted to a ballroom packed with his most fervent loyalists to some of the loudest sustained applause of the night.

Now he adds:Today I add: I am your warrior, I am your justice — and for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution. I will totally obliterate the deep state.”

Noteworthy: Some 20% of the seats were empty. Trump even struggled at times to get a rise with his applause lines, including an extended riff about homeless military veterans being treated worse than undocumented immigrants.

Noteworthy: This annual CPAC event draws a wide array of Republican Party activists, lawmakers, donors, and other influential figures on the right with the event usually hailed by some as Woodstock for conservatives.

This event is viewed as a required campaign stop for GOP presidential hopefuls even though FL Gov. Ron DeSantis and former VP Mike Pence both skipped this 2023 confab, perhaps both were aware that Trump would easily win its straw poll.

Also, longtime staples of the right, like media giant Fox News, skipped the event, and the crowd had fewer college Republicans than it has in recent years.

My 2 Cents: Trump’s speech and reference to being “your retribution to wipe out the Deep State” means war on everyone except those who support him and those words are very dangerous.

Just look back at his words on January 6 to that rabid crowd when he told them “to go to the Capitol and fight like hell or else lose their country.” They just what he told them to do.

They stormed the National Capitol and attempted to disrupt the 2020 election official vote certification thus throwing the election to him and not the real winner Joe Biden – who won by some 7 million more votes than Trump.

The goal was to keep Trump in office as a tyrant via his attempted coup d'état – for surely that is what dreadful day was by any measurement.

It failed and now he wants a repeat if he does not win in 2024, or even prior to the election based on this firebrand kind of speech. The next time his words will cause massive bloodshed.

Trump must be indicted ASAP and then tried and convicted and sentenced to a very long prison term. He has earned it and the country deserves a break from this madman in our collective face 24/7.

Thanks for stopping by.
