Combating COVID Disinformation: Vaccine and Deaths Spun as Linked But They Are Not

Bogus claims the COVID vaccine from USA TODAY and a major bogus link inside which has been disproven and discredited as a major and totally unreliable source mentioned below and in an article from The Exposé with this USA TODAY headline:

“Fact check: Post wrongly claims 118,000 ‘died suddenly’ from COVID-19 vaccine”

USA TODAY reports on “The Exposé,” which is a UK-based website that contains inaccurate content about COVID-19 vaccines which reported this false story this headline:

“The claim: Monkeypox is only circulating in countries where the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed and is used to advance the Great Reset”

The Expose, published an article that spreads more falsehoods about the Great Reset. The July 24 article, which was shared on Facebook, links the Great Reset to the recent Monkeypox outbreak and claims the virus is spreading only in areas where Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine has been administered.

In June 2020, as countries were reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Economic Forum introduced an initiative called the “Great Reset” – a range of policy ideas designed to make sure response efforts benefitted everyone, especially those living in extreme poverty. Since then, conspiracy theories have falsely branded the Great Reset as a strategic plan by global elites to control the world.

 

Wise to know the difference between the two

My 2 Cents: The above shows and explains and proves how mis- and disinformation are used as if it were the factual truth.

People these days read and watch and believe what they choose to read, watch, and believe from one source without bothering to examine the story from other several other sources.

Overall that is very harmful to society in more ways than one. One harmful example is when stories circulate that “government is coming for your guns” that just entices people to run out and stock up on guns and ammo thinking that they will have to take action to hold off any government effort from coming to take their guns. Right now we have more guns than people in the country and the number of mass shooting coast-to-coast is growing in a very dangerous way.

FYI: From reputable gun deaths reporting from 1990 to date shows over 1 million deaths from guns (e.g., suicides, accidents, and shooting on purpose) that we see and hear about almost a weekly occurrence, or so it seems.

Solution: There are no easy solutions or steps that I think must be taken to stop or greatly curtail gun-related horror, but more and accurate background checks to stop making it easy to buy rapid fire weapons, high-capacity magazines, swift justice for the shooters, and no more high court approvals for more guns by looking the other way on gun rights since today the issue is worse than I have ever seen in my adult life
