Time for Congress to Act: Expel Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for Insurrectionist Remarks

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) Insurrectionist

Expel Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) based on this story and her own words. She is a truly a threat to peace and freedom and our democracy based on this news story with this headline:

Greene says January 6 Capitol attack ‘would’ve been armed’ if she planned it”

The story (formatted to fit the blog) highlights:

Taylor Greene said on December 10) speaking at a gala event for the NY Young Republicans Club that the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol: Would’ve been armed if she and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon had planned it”

Taylor Greene is an ultra, far-right lawmaker, who once again appeared to hit back at claims that she was somehow involved in plotting the Capitol riot precisely said in her remarks: Then January 6 happened. And next thing you know, I organized the whole thing, along with Steve Bannon here. And I will tell you something, if Steve Bannon and I had organized that, we would have won. Not to mention, we would’ve been armed. See that’s the whole joke, isn’t it. They say that whole thing was planned and I’m like, are you kidding me? A bunch of conservatives, second amendment supporters, went in the Capitol without guns, and they think that we organized that?”

FYI: Many supporters of Trump who came to Washington on January 6 did bring weapons. For example, Oath Keepers militia members and their leader, were recently found guilty recently for seditious conspiracy. Many members had stockpiled suitcases full of weapons at a Virginia hotel across the Potomac River as part of their planning for that day.

Then on the morning of January 6, Trump speaking to the crowd at the Capitol Ellipse complained that some of his armed supporters were unable to join the crowd.

He called on those supporters to march to the Capitol (along with him), according to former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, while also calling for the metal detectors to be tuned off at the Capitol saying the rioters where not there to shoot him.

Related coverage from Raw Story also is a short video analysis of her speech with this headline:Marjorie Taylor Greene's new “endorsement of violence” could land her in front of a grand jury: CNN analysts”

Noteworthy from that article is from CNN’s John Avlon who said Taylor Greene’s comments should send up red flags for investigators looking into the lead-up and aftermath of the Capitol riot that forced lawmakers to flee for their lives saying: What this congresswoman is saying is they were insufficiently armed, she was playing to the crowd but what she is saying is without accountability, failed insurrections are just practice. They would have succeeded and would have come armed – that's a statement with real weight if you're a member of Congress. That's an endorsement of violence.”

My 2 Cents: Taylor Greene keeps advocating bloodshed and insurrection in all her speeches and that is as plain as day as further supported by her speech above.

She violates all norms as this radical attendee at that same GOP gala, Gavin Wax, president of the New York Young Republicans Club, told that same audience:We want war against the left. We want to cross the Rubicon. We want total war. We must be prepared to do battle in every arena. In the media. In the courtroom. At the ballot box. And in the streets.”

(That reported on by the Southern Poverty Law Center).

Wax then continued:This is the only language the left understands. The language of pure and unadulterated power.”

Based on that alone GA voters were misled to think that she could not have been prevented from seeking office if involved in any insurrection to overthrow the government (re: Section 3 of the 14th Amendment).

However, her own words prove that fact and now she must be expelled from office since she is a clear and present danger.

Her words are more than free speech and clearly are very dangerous.

Thanks for stopping by.
