This is amazing story from
The Hill shows the AP audit of six swing states going against Trump –
that should shut him up once and for all – but, it probably won’t. The
headline:
“The AP finds fewer than 475
cases of potential voter fraud in six 2020 battleground states”
AP reporters conducted a months-long examination of the
election, which the AP called one of the most comprehensive to date, at more
than 300 local election offices where ballots were submitted in swing states: AZ,
GA, MI, NV, PA, and WI where President
Joe Biden won those states by a combined 311,257 votes.
The AP concluded there was no collusion to steal the
election and found fewer than 473 cases of individual voter fraud, with 80% of
the counties in the battleground states reporting no suspicious activity at all
with reporters writing: “The cases could not throw the outcome into question
even if all the potentially fraudulent votes were for Biden, which they were
not, and even if those ballots were actually counted, which in most cases they
were not.”
Examples:
· One instance of individual voter fraud was by a
WI man who thought he could vote while he was still on parole.
· Another example was a PA man who voted twice, once
for himself and once for his son.
· In most other cases, potential fraud was
intercepted by local election officials, which the AP says further confirms that
the overall security and integrity of the overall election worked.
Trump told The AP that he would soon release more
information about the alleged massive voter fraud in the 2020 election, saying
in part: “I just don’t think you should make a fool out of yourself by saying only
400 votes.”
Biden overall beat Trump with an historic amount of voter
turnout and by winning more than 81 million more votes than Trump. As noted
above, Biden won each of the six crucial swing states (seen in chart above) and
by thousands of votes each and thus winning
a total of 79 Electoral College votes from those six key states.
Trump despite that continues to claim the election was rigged
and stolen from him while citing massive voter fraud and contesting the use of
mail-in voting, which was used on a larger scale than ever due to the
coronavirus pandemic nationwide.
Trump’s sustained false rhetoric by all accounts also fueled
the January 6 riot, during which Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an
attempt to stop the Senate and then-VP Mike Pence from
certifying the final total EC results. Trump's lawsuits in battleground states
have largely been thrown out of court (over 60 cases – lost or dismissed), from
election audits which unearthed little or evidence of voter fraud, including
the highly publicized and shame audit in Arizona which was conducted by the
inexperienced Cyber Ninjas which in the end also went against Trump.
The AP investigation into those six swing states is the most
thorough debunking of Trump's repeated claims of massive voter fraud ever
conducted – yet he still cannot accept the loss even as reporters found no mass
wave of mail-in ballots from unregistered voters or more votes cast than from registered
voters.
My 2 Cents: Even with all the hard evidence that the 2020 election was the safest, most-secure, honest election ever, Trump just cannot accept the truth: He lost.
He not only lost the election itself, but some 62 court cases against him – either lost or dismissed – and that included many with judges he and other Republicans appointed the bench including two SCOTUS election cases against him.
Plus, it is still amazing, astonishing even, and hard to believe that we still see and hear so many Republicans in Congress like Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL recently praising the rioters as just “loyal Americans”.
Where we are heading is the great unknown but vigilance is definitely called for now through the midterm elections next November 8, and right into the 2024 next presidential race.
Who knows what Trump and his still loyal base will do or try to do as a repeat of this past January 6 uprising.
