Legal woes for Trump and his “Empire” with this news report from Business Insider and the headline (June 30):

Manhattan prosecutors will charge the Trump Organization and its CFO with tax-related crimes

Story details follow:

I Note: Updates will follow as I’m sure they will and they will be fast breaking news as well, especially as the process closes in on Trump himself – which they most-assuredly will.

   · The Manhattan DA's office will charge the Trump Organization and its CFO, per multiple reports.

   · The Wall Street Journal reported that they would be charged with tax-related crimes on Thursday.

   · They would be the first indictments to come out of a two-year investigation into Trump's company.

The Manhattan DA plans to charge (on July 1) the Trump Organization's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Allen Weisselberg, with tax-related crimes as the WSJ first reported.

This would be the first wave of indictments following a two-year investigation into whether Trump's sprawling real-estate company violated state laws and engaged in financial crimes.

The charges against Weisselberg will be based around him receiving benefits from the company: apartments, cars, and school tuition, and for him not paying the appropriate taxes on them – that according to the Associated Press report.

Noteworthy: Weisselberg has been under prosecutorial scrutiny for months as investigators tried to flip him as a cooperating witness.

Jennifer Weisselberg, Weisselberg’s ex-daughter-in-law told Insider's Jacob Shamsian that she'd given investigators boxes of documents from her messy divorce from son, Barry Weisselberg, who is also a Trump Organization employee.

She said the evidence shows the two receiving fringe benefits from the Trump Organization, like housing and tuition payments for their children, and without properly paying taxes on them.

Barbara Res, also a former top executive at the Trump Companytold Insider that Barry Weisselberg's position at the company could be part of the reason his father hasn't flipped against Trump, but that she expects Trump to get prison time.

Prosecutors also examined whether Matthew Calamari the Trump Organization's COO (Chief Operating Officer), and his son Matthew Calamari Jr., the company's head of security, accepted similar perks without paying taxes on them.

Nicholas Gravante Jr., an attorney representing both Calamaris, told Insider that he did not expect charges against his clients this week adding: “Although the DA's investigation obviously is ongoing, I do not expect charges to be filed against either of my clients at this time.”

I note: That statement from attorney Gravante obviously implies that those two Calamaris will be charged shortly after Weisselberg is, then who knows who is in line as the full scope hits Trump himself – which is widely expected as the finale to this massive legal case.

The full story continues from here.

My 2 Cents: This is a big story that many have forecast was coming for a very long time … that time is apparently now here.

I’d wager that Trump is a nervous wreck (or at least he should be since he is about to pull an Al Capone 10-fold).

This is the beginning of the end of Donald J. Trump. He has been a crooked land lord and tax evader and fraud for decades. The time for him to be punished for his crimes is now.

Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by.
