Apparently about to part ways or so it seems
Giuliani reacts to Trump statement to the media
Re-edited with more details on this fast-moving Trump-Giuliani
“friendship/Ukraine criminal” saga - it keeps growing each passing day.
Case in point:
Trump as he
was leaving for Marine-One for flight to Andrews AFB to fly to a rally in Louisiana was asked by a reporter: “Is Giuliani still your attorney?”
Trump said: “I don’t know. I haven't spoken to Rudy. I spoke
to him yesterday, briefly. He's a very good attorney and he has been my
attorney, yeah sure.”
Original report here from CNN:
About 7 minutes (Anderson Cooper)
More here by Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC show – she lays out details in her always easy-to-understand fashion:
About 18 minutes
Also, my earlier posts related to
all this:
Now add in
this oops for Rudy Gee story here from
AlterNet:
Parnas and
Fruman, both witnesses in House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into Trump, had
lunch with Giuliani at the Trump International Hotel in Washington hours before
they were arrested according to the Wall Street Journal.
CNN also reported that “prosecutors were not intending to
unseal the indictment against the Giuliani associates” but, “their
hand was forced by an attempt by Fruman and Parnas to flee the country.”
Geoffrey Berman, U.S. Attorney for
the SDNY said this about Parnas and Fruman: “They broke the
law to gain political influence while avoiding disclosure of who was actually
making the donations and where the money was coming from. They sought political
influence not only to advance their own financial interests, but to advance the
political interests of at least one foreign official, a Ukrainian government
official who sought the dismissal of the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie
Louise Yovanovitch.”
Note: More on her Congressional testimony
today will be posted tomorrow.
My 2 cents: Simple, Rudy Gee is toast, and Trump
is done with him. The Trump bus wheels are still fresh on old Rudy Gee. What
does he do next?
My hunch: Rudy Gee will turn on Trump faster than this:
Thanks for stopping by.
