Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) says a delegation of Russian lawmakers will visit Washington, DC after he extended the invitation during a visit to Moscow.

Paul said in a statement that he met with Konstantin Kosachev, the chairman of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Foreign Relations and added: “Engagement is vital to our national security and peace around the world. Today, I met with Chairman Kosachev, and we agreed on the importance of continued dialogue. I invited the Russian Federation to send a delegation to the Capitol, and they have agreed to take this important next step.”

Paul pointed out that Russian lawmakers have not visited the U.S. Capitol in three years. Meanwhile, Trump continues his call for Mueller to be fired to end his investigation into Russian interference in 2016 with his string of labels: “Witch Hunt and a Hoax.”

Paul has in the past agreed with Trump's characterization of the investigation the same way.

My 2 cents is a message to KY citizens: Get rid of Rand Paul – get him out of office based on his comments and this awful misguided one-man decision.

Paul said above: “Engagement (with the Russians) is vital to our national security and peace around the world.”

Ho Lee Sheet and I both say: “Are you insane with that statement not to mention that their election meddling IS ALSO a national security concern and vital to our existence as a free and democratic state – that is our right to vote without any foreign interference whatsoever.”

Paul’s assessment borders on treason in my view – it plays right into the Russian hands and Putin must be delighted – his plan is working to a “Trump Tower T…”

So, how will KY react to this garbage from their Senator? Well they have in addition to Paul as a senator, they have Mitch McConnell – Ergo: Case closed on them being decent rational people.
