Hey gang, what time is it? Well, it's not Howdy Doody Time
Introduction and right up front to keep in mind. “Collusion” IS NOT a legal term to
be used for prosecution of crime in and of itself.
Related here from VOA news - a good read,
and here from Center for American Progress, and BTW
at many other links, so please do the searches and see more.
Collusion may not stick or
nail Trump, but keep in mind the following from here:
But (1) money
laundering; (2) tax fraud and tax evasion; (3) lying under oath; (4)
obstruction of justice; and (5) abuse of power are all part of bigger overall
picture that may cover and reach Trump himself, e.g., Bribery or some other
High Crimes and Misdemeanors for impeachment of Trump (from
Find Law here):
I am sure that S/C Robert Mueller
will prove any number of those categories.
Money laundering and tax
evasion are high on that list as well as obstruction of justice – case in
point the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.
Trump in his own words kind
of makes that case, when he told Lester Holt live on NBC TV: “I decided to fire
him (Comey) him because he would not stop the Russian thing.”
That firing in and of itself may be illegal if it amounts to obstruction of justice. The question
boils down to whether Trump fired Comey to try to slow or halt that
investigation and/or because Comey wouldn’t pump the brakes on the
investigation.
My 2 cents: Time to tell. Stay tuned. This is historical without any
doubt.
Guilty pleas are almost daily lately from those who were close to Trump
and nobody can believe with a straight face and rational mind that Trump didn’t
know what was going on around him and for him and his benefit.
Thanks for stopping by.
