Domestic and Foreign Affairs Problem Solver
(Oops: A constant reminder)
Assume
Trump remains strictly and mostly focused on the economy with his “business mind and
model” (basically focused on Trump Empire, Inc.) and solidly in play and always his 24/7 sales pitch goal.
If that's all that matters what about clean air, safe drinking water, safe food, safe drugs, roads, bridges, and safety in general as well as decent health care and good public schools and education and job training and care for the needy, etc. etc. all for the general public –then who are we as a people, collectively as decent, caring and concern about our fellow man?
It is great to have a good to have a decent job, a good salary, peace and quiet, to see bankers happy larks, Wall Street thriving, and a good decent home and family – all things most of us strive for, but if our food, water, medicine, roads, rail, and air are not safe – things we as humans all need – then a job and thriving economy matters little.

Recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland he told everyone there “America is open for business” as if he had just opened up another
Trump hotel or resort and golf course and was simply looking for another business
deal of sorts.
Trump is in
left field if he thinks his or any business model is all we need.
This
story clearly shows what I mean regarding his focus – this underscores
some of his key business BFF’s bailing out on him based on this scenario:
From
immigration to climate change, Trump even has repeatedly found himself at odds
with some of the country’s corporate leaders — including those who advise him.
As those
political rifts have intensified, however, many of the top executives who had
hoped to shape the new administration’s thinking have instead bolted for the
exits.
Seven of his
top business advisers have announced they would cease advising him as
a member of the White House’s manufacturing initiative.
The catalyst: Trump’s controversial comments about
the neo-Nazi, white supremacist demonstrations in Charlottesville, VA in
mid-August 2017. Then the week end after that, at a
press conference he attributed
the violence and one death there that also injured dozens came from and was
caused by “many sides.”
Then a few
days later, he repeated similar claims.
Finally, examples
of what I mean please consider this story from
Rolling Stone here about his 13 biggest
business failures with this sub-heading:
“Trump likes to brag about his wealth, but some of his
business decisions
have been real duds”
Well, that’s
it for this post, and as always, thanks for stopping by.
