The dangers of arrogance and ignorance are nowhere more starkly illustrated than in Trump’s Oval Office, where anguished advisers seek constantly to steer a rogue president away from international disaster. And now the stakes of his stubborn stupidity have gone nuclear.

Having disparaged the Iran nuclear deal for years — without actually understanding its provisions or even the process that produced it — Trump now sounds determined to abrogate that agreement. In his dismal maiden address to the UN he repeated his usual sneering refrain, such as: “The Iran deal was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into.”

Whatever motivates Trump, beyond his swollen egotism and hatred of all things Obama, he seems unable to comprehend the perils such a tantrum will set loose.

My POV: This is very serious folks and Trump has no idea – none whatsoever that he and he alone is leading all of us – the U.S. and entire globe to utter nuclear devastation based on his whim — for what purpose – who in the world knows.

His so-called “Art of the Deal” is an open question: What deal – what art – what goal — what expected outcome and who benefits? As always: Donald J. Trump and no one else, except well, maybe Trump Empire, Inc.

What we see unfolding today in real time is far worse than the 1962 Cuban missile crisis between the old USSR and US - truly far worse than anyone comes close to comprehending and especially Trump.
