Candidates for “House Cleaning / Swamp Draining” Metaphors
Setting the Example: Trained and Able
(Good boy)
White House
chief strategist (or more apropos: Trump’s
guiding light) Steve Bannon stunned the political chattering class on Wednesday
(August 16) when he called a liberal
magazine writer out of the blue and dished dirt to him about (1) race politics, (2) the fight against North Korea, and (3)
internal West Wing skirmishes over an
economic war with China.
Highlights: Bannon told the American Prospect, a far-left
publication, that Democrats' fixation on race politics instead of jobs and the
economy would be their doom in 2020.
He also denounced the
alt-right, by
calling them a “collection of clowns,” and said some of his contemporaries in
the administration are “wetting themselves” over his plans to marginalize
government agencies and bureaucrats adding: “The longer they talk about
identity politics, I got 'em. I want them to talk about racism every day,” he
boasted.
He concluded: “If the left is focused on race and
identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats.”
Continue this fine story here (the
Daily Mail-UK) – interesting assessment to day the least.

Observational Ending Note: “The Mooch” seems to get more
favorable press now since he was booted from the White House, even before he officially began the job – how ironic (or pathetic) is that?
As usual, thanks for stopping by.
