Trump DC International Hotel: Cash Cow and Easy Flow for Big Campaign Money

Cash Cow Central: Trump 2020

Steady Flow of Ready Cash

This story ties in directly to this posted earlier: Trump Family and Ethical Rules.

This story highlights follow from The Week and other sources.

From The Week:

A private fundraiser at Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC on Wednesday (June 28) brought in an estimated $10 million, organizers said, with the money being split between President Trump's campaign and the RNC.

Trump spoke for 30 minutes in front of 300 supporters, party leaders, and major Republican donors, some who paid more than $30,000 for entrance, 40 months ahead of the 2020 election.

Not having any legislative victories to tout, Trump instead praised his own deregulation efforts and said health-care reform has to be done, two people present at the event told Politico. He also went after the media, primarily CNN, suggesting that he is a victim of their reporting, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

From The AP, in part:
Among the fundraiser attendees: Longtime GOP fundraiser-turned television commentator Mica Mosbacher and Florida lobbyist and party financier Brian Ballard were among the fundraiser attendees.
Breaking the tradition of his predecessor, Trump didn't allow reporters into the event — despite an announcement earlier in the day that a pool of reporters would be allowed in to hear the president's remarks.
“It's a political event and they've chosen to keep that separate,” White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders said when asked why the event is closed to the media, [but] after reporters complained, Sanders announced that the president's remarks would be opened to the press — only to reverse herself hours later.
Then she add that there was nothing unusual about raising political cash so early.
The man has no shame – run for president every single day – market the Trump name and brand above all else … world events and such – they take a backseat to our Trump Family Empire, Inc. motto: Trump’s First – That’s all that matters.
I prefer to call it: The Art of the Con.”
