Trump Camp: Lies Common, Truth Uncommon, “Alternative Facts” Replace Proven Facts

Exhibit “A” – He Appeared on ABC “This Week”
(February 12, 2017)

Top Story about Voter Fraud Stays Still Top News for the Trump Camp as seen in this exchange on ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos (4-minutes):

As noted, the show host George Stephanopoulos grilled President Donald Trump's top policy adviser, Stephen Miller, in a testy Sunday morning exchange (Feb 12) over the president's unfounded voter fraud claims.
Quick Note on Miller: He grew up in a liberal-leaning Jewish family in Santa Monica, CA. Though his parents were Democrats, he became a conservative after reading Guns, Crime, and Freedom, a book by NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre.

Stephanopoulos pressed Miller to provide evidence for Trump's unfounded allegations this week that voters were bused into NH from MA during the 2016 election, costing him and former GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte the state.
Without evidence, Miller suggested that “… if this is an issue that interests you, George, then we can talk about it more in the future. You should invite Kris Kobach onto your show and he can walk you through some of the evidence of voter fraud.”
NOTE ON KOBACH: He is Kansas Secretary of State and a staunch Trump backer. He previously cited a 2012 Pew Research Center study that found some million voter registrations were outdated back in 2008. The author of that study often cited by Trump administration officials as proof of the president's claim, said last year, “… researchers found millions of out of date registration records due to people moving or dying, but found no evidence that voter fraud resulted (from that).”
Then when Stephanopoulos told Miller “… you have provided absolutely no evidence to support those claims,” Miller interjected and claimed that the administration “… had provided enormous evidence,” and insisting that outdated voter registration roles were evidence of fraud as well as claiming that immigrants living in the U.S. without permission were voting en masse and then he added:
“George, it is a fact and you will not deny it that there are massive numbers of non-citizens in this country who are registered to vote. That is a scandal. We should stop the presses and as a country we should be aghast about the fact that you have people who have no right to vote in this country registered to vote, canceling out the franchise of lawful citizens of this country. That’s the story we should be talking about. And I’m prepared to go on any show, anywhere, anytime, and repeat it and say the President of the United States is correct, 100 percent.”
Stephanopoulos wrapped up the interview by reminding viewers that Miller did not provide any concrete evidence to support Miller’s claims saying in summary:
“You just repeated that you just made those declarations, but for the record you’ve provided zero evidence that the president was the victim of massive voter fraud in New Hampshire. You have provided zero evidence of the president’s claim that he would’ve won the popular vote if 3 to 5 million illegal immigrants hadn’t voted. Zero evidence for either one of those claims. Thanks a lot for joining us in the morning.”
Then Miller replied that the Trump administration was going to “…protect our country from terrorism, voter fraud, and economic disparity.”
Stephanopoulos was prepared and ended the interview with this parting shot: “You can start by providing evidence to back up your claims.”
Noteworthy Background: Since November, Trump has repeatedly suggested without evidence that voter fraud occurred on a massive scale in different parts of the country, and in addition to his claims about NH (cited above), he insists that millions of immigrants living in California without permission cost him the popular vote.
B/L: Trump is ill with a mental deficit. He is patently and poorly misinformed, or in most cases, totally uninformed. He is completely one-side in his views, highly opinionated, extremely narrow-minded, bullish in his natural state, and totally self-conscious about losing by nearly 3 million votes.
In short, Mr. Trump can’t stand any loss and never accepts anything other than being #1 or on top on all matter. He cannot stand to be wrong in the sense that he lost the popular vote and this issue is left hanging in his view.
No no wonder that keeps he awake at night.
Thanks to George Stephanopoulos for that great show and his more exposure of those in the Trump camp who have a hard time with any hard evidence about facts, let alone how to handle the truth.
