Getting Bi-Partisan Anything: Better Squeeze Blood Out of a Rock

Reality in Washington, DC - Go Ahead Try to Dispute It

Dr. Gee Old Pee's "Hypocritical" Oath

This posting comes the excellent source at Vox.com:

The article points out what most of us already know. That is just how nasty the GOP is about “who gets tax breaks or not.”

1.  President Obama is prepared to veto a bipartisan package of business tax breaks that House and Senate negotiators are close to finalizing.

2.  The deal would make several corporate tax breaks permanent without offsetting the cost in any way, while failing to extend provisions of the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit that are favorable to low-income households.

3.  In a statement, Treasury Secretary Lew described the proposal in part as: “...fiscally irresponsible because any deal on tax extenders must ensure that the economic benefits are broadly shared.”

The GOP natch, disagrees and why are we not surprised. One wonder where the GOP base truly lies – obviously it's a TOP – DOWN – which I guess is their take on trickle down.

Just watch where you are standing when the trickle down starts.
